Create More Brain Cells Through Exercise

CREATE NEW BRAIN CELLS!

Apparently people who exercise do better on memory tests. And now it turns out that they’ve actually created new brain cells! AND reduced stress, AND reduced the possibility of Alzheimer’s.

14 WAYS TO CONVERT YOUR SEDENTARY LIFESTYLE

I like this suggestion: “While watching TV, pace or stretch: Instead of switching channels during the ad break get up and walk about the house. Do some lunges or some simple stretching exercises. If you have stairs in your house, walk up and down the stairs a few times, during each ad break for at least one show every day.”

REWARD YOURSELF FOR BEING GOOD

It’s hard to get off your duff, even though you’re glad afterwards that you did. Here’s a good motivational site. I especially liked the bit that said, “Set well defined goals and reward yourself for reaching them.” That’s something I learned in Weight Watchers too – REWARD yourself for good behavior. The site suggests that you “focus on new options that you'll have after you become more fit.” Such as an Italian dinner? Well, that’s just the way my mind operates. You probably have more worthy, not to mention more sensible, rewards.
