You will note that many of the
following “40 ways to make money” assume you have a
blog. If you don’t, or if you do have a blog and it’s
not making money, you may want to continue on to read the
articles by PETER CLEMENS and STEVE PAVLINA. As you will see,
this is a complex area and not one you can dip into for fifteen
minutes and then start rolling in the dough.

40 WAYS TO MAKE MONEY ON THE INTERNET
These are shark-infested waters. As
you probably know, the glitzy, high-hype sites that offer to
make you rich quick on the Internet make only one person rich
quick: the person who built the site. The same goes for the
thousands of online pyramid schemes that ask you to make an
“investment,” often a considerable investment, before
they’ll do anything for you. But DUMB LITTLE MAN, who is
anything but dumb, knows all about that, and his listing avoids
the common scams. The 40+ ways listed will NOT make you rich
quick, but some of them may bring in welcome extra money. In a
few cases, cases where you’re willing to work at it, they
can bring in good money. In other words, making money on the
Internet is like making money off the Internet: you’re a
lot more likely to make money if you work hard.
(And notice that near the top of
the page Jay offers a second batch of money-makers. And when
you reach the end of the second batch he adds a third batch. Jay
likes to give good value, and he does.)

“EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT
BLOGGING”
PETER CLEMENS’ blog made it
into the Technorati Top 10,000 in nine months, so I would say he
knows a bit about blogging. He has gone to a good deal of
trouble to give us the basics of blogging: which blog host is
best, how to go about writing a blog, etc. After that he gives
helpful ideas about many practical aspects of blogging. He
has produced an online treasure.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY FROM YOUR BLOG
STEVE PAVLINA’s blog was
started in 2004, and by 2006 it was making $1,000 per day.
Steve says he owes his success to giving people valuable
information – which valuable information includes, first,
his article on “How to build a high-traffic
website”:

A few months after that, he gave us
the following extremely long and extremely good article on
“How to make money from your blog.” If you want to
make money from your blog, this article is a must-read.
