FOOD BANKS SHORT ON
FOOD
U.S. food banks
have been running short on food lately. In our neighborhood, the
Boy Scouts collect canned goods for the local food bank once a
year. But clearly this isn’t enough. Bill and I have
decided that, every time we get groceries, we’ll get a few
extra cans. When we have a little pile of them, we’ll take
them to the food bank ourselves. Every little bit
helps.

nearest food bank, or to make a cash donation, try SECOND

LIFT A FAMILY OUT OF
POVERTY
Yes, lift them out
of poverty, not just for a few weeks but for a lifetime. And
then get your money back. KIVA.ORG helps you make a small
loan (most are $500 to $1,500) to an entrepreneur in a developing
country. The loan gives a family a once-in-a-lifetime chance to
get out of the cycle of endless poverty. Loan repayment rate?
Excellent.
