That foolish grin . . . http://blog.kavefish.com/archive/collections/puppy-vs-lion-cub.html DIABELLA LOVES CATS This site keeps getting better and better. It is obviously a labor of love on Diabella’s part. It’s a graphically gorgeous and unusual site, with its own piped-in music. If you love cats, take some time to explore it, and have yourself a good time. MEAN KITTY No, no, no! We are not talking about being mean TO kitties. Heaven forbid that we should be mean to kitties. This is a site offering advice by MEAN KITTY, who is of course a kitty and who always takes the side of the kitties. MEAN KITTY’s advice is pretty pithy. To the person who complained that his cat didn’t want to be friends, MEAN KITTY said, “Try putting tuna between your toes.” I think MEAN KITTY is one of the funniest sites on the Internet. If you consider putting tuna between your toes to be practical advice, then it’s practical as well. http://meankitty.com/advice.htm CAT PUKE That’s it . . . let it out. Let it ALL out: a piece of sound advice any cat can give you. If you think cat puke is funny -- and there seem to be a lot of us out there -- try this site, by a lady deeply and intensively experienced in the field. Oh, and, hey! You can send in your cat puke stories too. Here’s one from the site, a real gem: “I was sleeping soundly one night with my cat nestled on top of my head and several others on the bed. I woke suddenly to the sound of cat puke and determined it was coming from the cat on my head. With lightening quick reflexes I managed to catch the cat puke in hand, jump out of bed and throw it in the toilet with a minimal amount falling on the floor. Not bad for a nearly blind chick at 3 a.m.!” WHEN A NEW CAT JOINS THE FAMILY THRIFTY FUN is a great website for families -- and, if you like the site, do subscribe to their daily newsletter, which is full of little treasures. The emphasis is on family FUN and enjoying life. They’ve got recipes, tips, and pet stories. Including this great tip for introducing a new cat to a home where a cat lives already: “Get small towels -- one for each cat. Rub the cats with their own towel and then give it to the other cat to sleep with and get used to each other's scents. Of course we still take the time to slowly introduce them to each other, but this towel method seems to make the process go much easier in the long run.” |
